This. So much.

So we’ve reached the end for DC’s favorite sports team not named the Redskins.

Really? Really really?

For some much-needed realkeeping on Obama and gay marriage, go here and here, not to Fox.

Fox News being morons? Unsurprising.

I’m all for free speech and whatnot, but good lord, shut the fuck up Fox News.

I’ve actually made a post every month this thing has been online. Is that some sort of streak?

Well, this is certainly a way for me to do my blogging. Since I have some time, I ought to run things on both my Tumblr and on my actual blog at The Millini Review.

So, tonight’s Capitals/Rangers game. Talk about soul-crushing. It’s a lot like talking to a girl, and the two of you get along so well it’s like the two of you were made for each other. Sure, it was hell to walk up and ask for her name (The Caps going down 1-0 in the first period), but eventually you create good conversation with her (Game tied 1-1). The two of you talk, get some drinks, perhaps she even laughs at one of your bad jokes (Caps go up 2-1). But just as you’re going to close the deal with her and ask her out, she brings up her boyfriend (Rangers score with six seconds to spare in regulation and then grab the game winner in overtime) and you suddenly realize that you’re screwed. That was what I felt like at the end of the game. (Just FYI, the last girl I talked to basically declined when I asked for her number. I don’t know if she has a boyfriend, but I never saw her again since I asked.)

I guess that since they’re down again, the Capitals ought to fight back and take game 6, but even then I don’t know if they’ll do that without screwing up somehow. No real reason to make this post than that, but I guess time will tell if I decide to post a real update to this Tumblr.

It amazes me that we live in a time when NBA stars have a favorite Pokemon. I know we’re fast approaching an age when our president can claim to have caught them all — we already have former candidates quoting the series’ films — but I’m still astonished that famous grown-ups are holding it down for Blastoise, keeping his name on the streets.
But that’s what Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin was doing during a drug-addled Facebook Q&A session following his knee surgery last night (apparently he played a bit of Super Smash Bros. on N64 as a kid, too).
Like, could you imagine Michael Jordan reppin’ Charizard? Or Kobe Bryant reminiscing about how he used to destroy his opponents with a Gengar and Starmie-led team back in the day? What a world, what a world.

Apparently, me and Jeremy Lin have something in common: we both grew up playing the hell out of Super Smash Bros.
